Annie Motel

Annie Motel is a Los Angeles–based artist whose work explores themes of faith, beauty, and redemption through oil paintings inspired by Catholic iconography and the landscapes of the American Southwest. As a practicing Catholic, she creates works that invite contemplation and reveal the sacred within everyday life. Living and working as a tattooer and painter in Downtown Los Angeles while regularly traveling to New Mexico, she finds inspiration in the contrast between the glamour of the big city and the vast expanse of the desert, believing that art has the power to draw us toward salvation, order and grace.
